After Pollster Correctly Called 2016 Race – He’s Now Saying The 2020 Silent Majority Will Give Trump High 270s

Currently, most national polls favor Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Some even say the former Vice President has a clear double-digit advantage over President Donald Trump.

However, Republicans and Conservatives across the nation continue to point toward the “silent majority.” They claim it’s bigger than people think and therefore, the polls are unreliable.

And one pollster thinks they’re right.

Trafalgar Group chief pollster Robert Cahaly told “Hannity” this week that Trump will likely be reelected, despite the apparent poll situation.

He believes the incumbent will score the majority of electoral votes, and this will propel him to a surprisingly easy victory.

Cahaly chalks this up to an “undercurrent” of Trump supporters; a Red Wave that simply hasn’t been reflected in polls and surveys. But supposedly, we’ll see it in the election results.

As he told Hannity (via Fox News):

‘I see the president winning with a minimum [electoral vote count in the] high 270s and possibly going up significantly higher based on just how big this undercurrent is.’

The Trafalgar Group has a history of prediction success, too.

In 2016, they were one of the few polling groups to show Trump leading in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Michigan on the night before the presidential election. And Trump won all three.

This time around, Cahaly has predicted that Trump will hold Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Georgia.

For the time being, most polls show Trump and Biden in a virtual tie in all those states, and some are giving Biden a slight advantage.

But again, these polls aren’t showing what Cahaly says is the “hidden Trump vote”:

What we’ve noticed is that these polls are predominantly missing the hidden Trump vote.

There is a clear feeling among conservatives and people that are for the president that they’re not interested in sharing their opinions readily…

These people … are more hesitant to participate in polls. So if you’re not compensating for this … you’re not going to get honest answers.

Furthermore, Cahaly believes the recent Hunter Biden controversy could give Trump an extra boost, especially if he exerts pressure on Biden.

The Trafalgar chief said if Trump mentions the Hunter issue during the upcoming debate, “Biden might crack, kind of like he did in the primaries.”

So, the “silent majority” could be very real, and very significant on November 3.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trafalgar Group chief pollster Robert Cahaly believes Trump will win the election with a “minimum electoral vote count in the high 270s.”
  • Cahaly cites the “hidden Trump vote” as being the determining factor, and something current polls don’t account for.
  • Trafalgar correctly predicted Trump’s victory in 3 key battleground states in 2016.
